APPEAL ON BEHALF OF TROTRO DRIVERS FOR SEPARATE ROAD

It has come to my notice that our dear Public Transport Mini Bus Drivers, affectionately known as "TROTRO DRIVERS" have not,  cannot and will not obey the rules and regulations concerning safe, logical, sound driving of vehicles on our roads. 

Mr President, I am starting to believe strongly, that there is perhaps a secret university where all trotro drivers in Ghana attended. How else can you explain the following???

• I have never come across any Trotro driver who is patient enough to wait PATIENTLY in traffic, without going through some unbelievable, death defying stunts, to pass all manner of corners of the road, undiscovered unchartered terrain, etc. This sometimes comes in handy though, Mr. President beacuse when I am late for a function (simply because ECG has decided to turn off the power and Ghana Water has not provided me with water for 15years) I can bet my last pesewas that taking a trotro to my destination will guarantee that I arrive 10 times faster than even with a personal private jet.

Anablezo (To Look Up)

Anablezo (To Look Up)

The greek word anablezo simply means to look up. However, it connotes several things;


1. It means to lift up your eyes to God. Psalm 121. It is a way of saying that God is your one and only help.


2. It connotes surrender. It shows that you cannot do anything without God (John 15:5) and thus you surrender ALL your life to Him. It means you take the step of faith to invite Jesus Christ into your life, to reign and rule, thus you relinquish, or surrender all your will to His will. Only then can you say like Paul, that everything I once looked at apart from God, I count it all as lost or dung, so you may obtain Christ.




3. It connotes trust. When you lift up your eyes to God, you are saying that Lord, I trust or want to trust in you (Proverbs 3:5-7). This means that you believe in the existence of God, and you also believe in the power of God. It means by implication, that you believe in the Word of God, and that you can take God at His word, that whatever He has said concerning your life, will definitely come to pass.




Let us consider JOSEPH. In Genesis 37, He received two fabolous dreams, foretelling of unparralled greatness in his life. He was also the favourite son of His father. However in verse 28 of Genesis 37 his dreams and visions, his mission and ambition, started going in the opposite direction to where he expected. HE WAS SOLD AS A SLAVE INTO A FOREIGN COUNTRY WHERE HE KNEW NOBODY, FOR NO FAULT OF HIS!!!


After going through one injustice after another, this great man ended up in prison, where it looked like his destiny and future had been locked up behind bars.However, Joseph knew the power of ANABLEZO and never gave up. Even when tempted by a hot and sexy seductress, He looked up to God and the relationship he had in God and proclaimed "How can I do this great evil and sin against God?" (Genesis 39:9). This is ANABLEZO in action. Putting your trust in God to see you through the worst of situations, without looking up to anyone else for a remedy. May we also have the attitude of constant ANABLEZO.


4. ANABLEZO, also connotes, gratitude. It is a sign of thanksgiving. It is an act of acknowledgement. We see that Jesus, in many of His earthly miracles recorded in the Bible, He looked up (ANABLEZO) and gave thanks, or acknowledged God as the true source of all the miracles or blessings, which were to follow. Examples are 
a. When he miraculously fed five thousand with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 small fishes (Mark 6:41).
b. When he miraculously healed a deaf and dumb man (Mark 7:31-37).
c. When he supernaturally raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:41).


5. From point (4), we see that ANABLEZO, is a requirement for the supernatural to take place in our lives, on a daily basis.

Are you a sinner and desire to be saved? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Are you afflicted in any way and need deliverance or relief? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Are you lonely and need someone to talk to? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Are you scared of the future? Scared to die? Scared you won't succeed? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Are you feeling like all hope is lost? Feeling like your situation cannot be helped? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Do you think no one cares about you? Trust me someone does! I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Do you seek true love such as no man or woman can give? Love everlasting? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).
Are you confused and don't know what to do? Are you unsure of the next step in life? I RECOMMEND YOU TO ANABLEZO (look up).






Whatever your situation, however your circumstances, regardless of where you are now, all I have known and experienced is that there is a solution right above your head, if only you will just lift up your eyes from the things on this Earth which are temporary, to the one who created all things, and can work all things together for your good. God loves you. He is madly in love with you. He will never stop loving you. He is reaching out to your heart even now, as you read this. take time, pray, talk to Him and you will experience that love in a new way like never before.

3 SECONDS (THE POWER OF THINKING TWICE)

WHY ARE YOU SO EMOTIONAL???

CONTROLLING YOUR EMOTIONS CAN SAVE LIVES.

I have come to realise and appreciate the importance of preachers like Joel Osteen and Joyce Meyer. I have seen families literally fall apart and relationships severed because of people saying or doing things, they did not think through thoroughly. Sometimes we take certain decisions because we are or have been hurt and only realise afterwards that we did not really mean what we did or said but by then, we may have caused untold harm to those we love and care about.

The power of unintentional outbursts and declarations cannot be under-emphasised. This sometimes happen when there are hidden roots which have not really been addressed and have been nurtured, deep down in our subconscious. For example, a mother may be so frustrated with her daughter's attitude that one day she may say that "I regret giving birth to you". Subsequently, she may realise that she did not really mean what she said but by then, the good old devil may have taken advantage of her daughter's dejected state and play the scene over and over in her head till she develops resentment or bitterness or hatred for her mother, ALL BECAUSE THE MOTHER DID NOT TAKE TIME TO THINK TWICE OF WHAT SHE WAS GOING TO SAY. 

I believe we have all in one way or the other, been offended by some harsh words which people we love, have said to us. Sometimes we ourselves may have been the cause of the hurt and grief of others. It happens everyday and everywhere and whether we are the ones offended or being offended, let us resolve to be more cautious of what we let out of our mouths. IN OTHER WORDS, THINK TWICE. 

PAUSE AND THINK ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS BEFORE YOU ACT.

One offended person is more than one unhappy person. If I am unhappy, it affects everybody around me. It affects how I begin to relate to my family and friends. It affects my relationship with God too. It changes the way I should think and behave towards other's but at that moment, all my thoughts are about myself and how to lift up my spirit again. It decreases my productivity and efficiency. 

DO NOT LET YOUR EMOTIONS CAUSE YOU TO SIN. BE A MASTER OF YOUR EMOTIONS. DO NOT REACT ON IMPULSE. DO NOT MAKE PROMISES BECAUSE YOU ARE EXCITED AND IN A GOOD MOOD. DO NOT CURSE AND DESTROY SOMEBODY JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY AT SOMETHING HE DID WHICH CAN BE FIXED. BE ANGRY, BUT DO NOT SIN.

BECOMING A MASTER OF YOUR EMOTIONS, IS A SIGN OF GENUINE MATURITY.

A TALE OF A SHEPHERD AND A SHEEP (PSALMS 23:1)

Today I want to break down the first Verse of Psalms 23

1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.

First of all, if indeed we all do claim that the Lord is our Shepherd, then we are acknowledging that we are sheep. Now let us consider a few scriptures on sheep and shepherd and let us see what it means indeed for the Lord to be our shepherd and for us to be sheep.

Joh 10:25 Jesus said in answer, I have said it and you have no belief: the works which I do in my Father's name, these give witness about me. (BBE)
Joh 10:26 But you have no belief because you are not of my sheep. (BBE)

-----First of all, Your status as a sheep of the Lord is attained when you believe that JESUS CHRIST is GOD. This is seen in the discourse which preceded JOHN 10:25. His accusers told Him to make it plain once and for all, whether He (Jesus) was the CHRIST or not. In reply, the good Lord told them that He had said so and yet they refuse to believe Him. They even wanted to stone Him because "He being a man, made himself God". Jesus made it plain that anyone who does not believe in the Truth of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), is not His sheep.

Joh 10:27 My sheep give ear to my voice, and I have knowledge of them, and they come after me: (BBE)

------Secondly, you can tell whether you are a sheep of the Lord or not if you can hear the voice of the Lord. Remember "My sheep know my voice and they follow me". So we need to examine if indeed we know the voice of God, and whether we follow the voice of God.

Do we even make time to hear from God, or are we too busy pursuing our own voices and being our own shepherds??? Which voices do we follow??? The voices of SOCIETY, FRIENDS OR THE DEVIL??? 

ARE WE SURE WE ARE SHEEP OF THE LORD??? IS THE LORD YOUR SHEPHERD??? WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS IN LIFE BASED ON??? ARE THEY BASED ON THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF GOD FOR YOU OR YOUR OWN IMPROVISED PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE???

It is extremely vital that we seek the voice of God through fasting, prayer, and study of the word consistently. We can also hear the voice of God through anointed and inspired men of God.

The atmosphere we create for and around ourselves, also increase or decrease our sensitivity to the voice of God. This atmosphere can be created through music. The music you have on in your room or in your earphones, creates an atmosphere where the presence of God can be manifested or the presence of demons is evident. Remember that Light and darkness cannot coexist in the same place. Therefore it is necessary that we as children of God, create the right atmosphere where we can hear from God. Remember that when Saul was possessed with a Devil, David played good spiritual music, which caused the presence of God to settle in their atmosphere, thereby, driving out the Devil in King Saul.

So for this first part of this great topic of being a SHEEP, I would like to conclude by saying that check your status and know when you last heard from God. What is God planning for your life this month??? If you do not know, maybe it is because you are not hearing His voice and if you are not hearing, it could be that you are in the wrong atmosphere (friends, music, movies, etc)....

I pray that as you have read this, you would take time to reflect on these words which came by inspiration, and pray that God will cause you to love His voice, and that you would be a true follower of the Shepherd which is Jesus Christ.

Rest In Peace Mr. Qaddafi...

Whenever I hear of famous people or otherwise dying, there is only one thought on my mind. The fact that they can ascertain/verify the existence of Heaven or Hell or otherwise. How I wish that they could come back and share their experiences with us so we know whether to be casual about eternity, whether to be lukewarm or not, whether to take the Word of God seriously, or whether the Jehovah Witnesses are right or not. For me, I wholeheartedly believe in the existence of Heaven and Hell simply because of the fact that the infallible Word of God with reference to Jesus Christ says so. I am a Christian and so I believe in everything the Bible says. So what does the Bible say?


The Bible Says that "I go to prepare a place for you. IF IT WERE NOT SO, I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU!!!" Also The Bible says that "If your Hand causes you to sin, cut it off because it will better to enter eternity without hands or (any other appendages for that matter), than to Enter Hell with Both Hands, Where the WORM DOES NOT DIE (WORM IS MAGGOT)". So who am I to doubt what The Bible says or to argue for or against the evidence of people who have had near-death experiences and "claim" to have glimpsed these two realities of eternity??? WHO AM I? MAY QADDAFI REST IS PEACE!!!
