Do you read your partner's WhatsApp messages?

First of all,  lemme make it clear that I don't ever check my partner's phone, her pictures, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.

Why don't I do so???  I don't care one bit, what my partner has on her phone, WhatsApp, or Facebook. I prefer to trust my partner totally, be totally ignorant and stand the risk of being deceived, than breach my partner's privacy.

My beloved once asked if she could go through my WhatsApp messages, I reacted strongly, and said she shouldn't. In fact I forbade her from ever going through my WhatsApp messages.

 Why would I do something so harsh, which might cause me endless nights of nagging??

I believe that always, the underlying factors should be dealt with. 

I prefer that you tell me upfront that you are Feeling insecure,  jealous or whatever, rather than going through my pictures or messages, trying to snoop for information.

Am I supposed to keep password on my own phone so that my partner does not go through?

Do you think it is right to keep a password on your phone when in a relationship?

I know that someone may argue that if you are in a relationship leading to marriage, you should not have any secrets. However,  I grew up in a family where my mum or dad,  or brother,  have never seen my nakedness, since I hit the age of 12. Needless to say, privacy is highly appreciated in my family.  Having grown up with this mentality,  I feel very violated if anyone, tries to intrude into my private space, for any reason.

I feel like I'm being raped. Please, ladies, and guys,  if you are also in the habit of doing so, don't ever snoop through your partner's phone, seeking answers to your suspicions.  It's never healthy. If I find out that you did it behind my back, the feeling you give me is that you don't trust me. I have learned the hard and bitter way that where there is no trust in a relationship,  the relationship is as good as dead.

If you think your man is close to a certain lady and that gets you worried,  I  would advise that you go and talk to him in a non-accusatory tone and calmly explain to him the effect of his closeness to another of the opposite sex, on you.

Mostly, if you go snooping for information, you are likely, to find trouble. After finding the trouble, how do you go about addressing it,  since you were not supposed to be snooping in the first place???

Do you now suffer quietly and drift further and further apart???  That's why I insist that the solution is not checking his personal information, but having a heart to heart talk. If you feel neglected, less loved,  jealous, insecure, say so. If you are able to talk about this aspect of your relationship with maturity, I believe that you would be a stronger couple.

I know that I'm not the authority on relationships and so if you have any differing opinion,  feel free to make your comments known. Have you ever snooped on your partner,  did it result in anything positive?

Chale,  today,  I had my first run in with the law. Chale,  it wasn't easy ooo.

Where do I start from kraa???

I am so shaken up that Chale,  I don't even know what I'm typing. So forgive me for any grammatical errors I make.

OK. Let's start. I enrolled with a certain driving school in Accra.  Today happened to be my last but one day. At this point,  I had overcome the phobia of dumsor (sorry Mr President), or dumgya, as appropriately referred to in the driving circles. For the uninitiated, dumgya stands for STALLING, The process whereby a learner or inexperienced driver,  using a manual car,  is unable to proceed when he or she reaches a junction, or has to come to a temporary stop.

Anyways, I was feeling good, driving perfectly and even taking the time to enjoy the road, unlike when I first started the course, where by the time the one hour practical lecture is over,  I would need to go home and bath all over again   because of the sweat my body generates,  due to fear.

Out of nowhere, at Haatso, this policeman sees this car with the "L" plate on it,  showing that the handsome young guy behind the steering wheel is a god-fearing learner, and decides that this guy must provide the money to cater for  the coke and cake that his 10-year old class four son, going for our day tomorrow, had made noise about in the morning.

"PULLOVER"

There noor,  I know say I die.

Massa,  me I didn't have the drivers license or the learners license. To make matters worse, the front-right lights on the vehicle I was driving, had blasted kraa and was nowhere to be found.  So I was literally driving a CYCLOPS.

Chale,  my friends,  this Christmas season, don't do dull ooo. The way the people have made aggre. Even if mosquito self dey your car inside, kill am ooo.  Else this people go tell you say, the mosquito can be a hazard in your car. Instead of driving, you are now focusing on mosquitoes, how would you be able to drive defensively????

Anyway, so I pulled over, parked nicely,  and started praying that God should touch the heart of this 6 foot 7 inches man,  who looked like he stepped out from a Bolo Young movie.

He said, "no headlights, can I see your license?"

My instructor who got out of the car showed him his. Left with cyber. I hot out, went straight to him and said, 

"DADDY, I BEG"

The man just went into his car to go and pull the tickets. At this point,  I suddenly understood the meaning of the proverb, "if Moses does not go to the mountain, the mountain will come to him."

There noor, Selasie Kwame Atitsogbui of #pixslrate studios passed by and mentioned my name.

SO what choice did I have? I quickly reached into my pocket and pulled out one green note. The mafia police man took one look at what I had in my hand and said the famous words which I would never forget in my life.

WHAT YOU ARE HOLDING DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME !!!!

I quickly dug deep down into my pocket, and rummaged for some coins. When the police woman sitting at the back of the police vehicle realised that I was thinking of adding smaller denominations, she shook her head fiercely and said, add one of the ten Ghana and come and give it to me.

Ei Ghana.

God is a God of principles and miracles. 

Principles include :

Gravity 

You reap what you sow 

Day and night 

If you pay evil for good, evil will never depart from your house 

Miracles are not the norm. They are once in a while occurrences. Therefore everyday, our lives are governed by principles, not miracles. 

The principle of little by little. 

Step by step 

1. The reason why God will not do things for you at once, is because he wants us to grow. 

2. God also does things little by little so that we can prepare ourselves. 

3. It cuts across every facet of life. 

If you are a believer,  10 minutes of prayer a day is better than no prayer at all. This principle is about consistency. 

10 minutes of Bible study is better than no Bible study at all.

Tithing : tithe on the little you have and you will be faithful to tithe when your salary increases. 

Savings : develop a culture of savings. Even coins. Even if your salary is less than NSS allowance.

Relationship : We all have faults. Deal with faults little by little. Consider your partner, knowing that you are imperfect.

10 REASONS WHY MY EFFECTUAL, FERVENT PRAYER, WILL NOT RESULT IN JACK!

Hey friends, today, I want to share on why some of us pray and do not get any answers, even when we keep praying about the same thing.
I believe most of us do not pray much because we don't really see anything coming out of the many prayers we pray. 
Because if indeed, we were receiving answers to everything we asked for in prayer, then we would pray a lot. In fact we would pray all the time!

Let us consider two stories in the Bible.



Luke 1:12-20
New International Version (NIV)



12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid,Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

DID YOU SEE THAT???

I have always had a problem with this chapter of Luke because, I believed that the angel Gabriel was not fair to Zechariah. Both Zechariah and Mary asked "how can this be"???  

YET, ZECHARIAH WAS MADE DUMB AND MARY WENT AWAY SCOT FREE!

So, After asking the Holy Spirit to give me a deeper understanding, I realised that the solution to the problem, could be found in verse 13.

Whereas Mary was chosen by God to fulfil God's divine will in her life, Zechariah actually had been praying and seeking God's face for a baby. Yet, when he was presented with the answer to his petitions, he began to give reasons why the very thing he had been asking for, could not be possible!!!!

MASSA, IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR IS NOT POSSIBLE, THEN WHY ARE YOU ASKING GOD IN THE FIRST PLACE???

And I realised that it was not only Zechariah who had a similar attitude. 

Remember when Peter was captured and imprisoned with a death sentence hanging around his neck???

The Bible says that EARNEST INTERCESSION WAS MADE FOR HIM BY THE CHURCH (ACTS 12:5). 

Whilst they were still praying earnestly, God sent an angel to go and rescue Peter. Peter went to John's mums house and knocked on the door. 

To my utmost shock and disbelief, these "ogyacious" (charismatic) christians, who were still praying with all manner of tongues and skills, when they were told that Peter was at the gate, they told Rhoda (the servant) that SHE WAS OUT OF HER MIND!!!

WHAT A SHOCK!!!

Chale, how would you feel if you were God???

Let us consider this; God is: 
1. ALL-POWERFUL
2. ALMIGHTY
3. ALL-KNOWING

How would you feel, if you were God and you granted audience to somebody as weak and insignificant as man, showed him all the things you are capable of doing, including the amazing things you have done in his life and then he laid his petitions before you and then, guess what, he says;

"DEAR LORD, I KNOW YOU ARE ALMIGHTY, OMNIPOTENT, CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE. I KNOW THAT YOU LOVE ME AND YOU SAID I SHOULD ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO ME. BUT ALMIGHTY, SOVEREIGN  RULER OF THE UNIVERSE, I HAVE TEN REASONS WHY YOU CANNOT ANSWER THIS REQUEST THAT I HAVE PLACED BEFORE YOU!!!"


It may sound funny but in reality, that is the attitude that a great majority of us portray. 

We ask God to save somebody and then turn around immediately and start condemning the person and talking about how this person will never change!

OR 


We pray earnestly for improvement in the economy of the country and turn around immediately and begin making negative confessions about how this country will never get better. 

OR 

We pray and ask God to heal us or whatever else we pray about, and then turn around and start saying, as for this my sickness dier, whenever it likes, then it comes and whenever it likes, then it goes!!!

PLEASE, LET US STOP THIS NONSENSE!!!

APPEAL ON BEHALF OF TROTRO DRIVERS FOR SEPARATE ROAD

It has come to my notice that our dear Public Transport Mini Bus Drivers, affectionately known as "TROTRO DRIVERS" have not,  cannot and will not obey the rules and regulations concerning safe, logical, sound driving of vehicles on our roads. 

Mr President, I am starting to believe strongly, that there is perhaps a secret university where all trotro drivers in Ghana attended. How else can you explain the following???

• I have never come across any Trotro driver who is patient enough to wait PATIENTLY in traffic, without going through some unbelievable, death defying stunts, to pass all manner of corners of the road, undiscovered unchartered terrain, etc. This sometimes comes in handy though, Mr. President beacuse when I am late for a function (simply because ECG has decided to turn off the power and Ghana Water has not provided me with water for 15years) I can bet my last pesewas that taking a trotro to my destination will guarantee that I arrive 10 times faster than even with a personal private jet.
